Food Pharmacy supports patients in vulnerable neighborhoods in obtaining local, healthy and regenerative food, linking direct improvements in health outcomes to sustainable agricultural practices. By partnering with farmers who restore soil health and regenerate the region, we aim to create new market opportunities that reward farmers for the nutritious food they produce.

Measuring together for better food

Data plays an increasingly important role in scaling up and professionalizing nature-inclusive agriculture.

The organizations Wij.land, Herenboeren, Aardpeer, Land van Ons and Lenteland are joining forces to identify the data and information needs of these initiatives and design a unified approach and IT solution based on this.

MensaMensa makes nutritious meals accessible to everyone and enhances food security and justice. People near the poverty line also learn to cook a healthy weekly menu.

IVN Natuureducatie has already greened more than 150 schoolyards and childcare sites with Food Forests and aims to have 500 sites by 2030. In a Food Grove, children learn to grow food with perennials and experience how wealth and biodiversity go hand in hand. In this way, they build a sustainable and healthy future for children and the planet. Thanks to the continued support of Stichting Goeie Grutten, IVN can reach even more schools, childcare locations and children and continue to build on this wonderful initiative.

The programme – which is located at the intersection of research, education and entrepreneurship – goes through four steps: research, ideation, concept development and prototyping. For some concepts, there is also a step 5: implementation.

The programme brings together young people from diverse backgrounds and educational levels.
