Steward ownership is a way to shape the ownership and governance of a company. A company is ‘its own’ and exists to serve its mission. The We Are Stewards Foundation stimulates the development and application of steward ownership in the Netherlands by making it accessible and attractive.
Globally, press freedom is under pressure. As a leading platform for photojournalism, World Press Photo is developing a strategy in this project to contribute more directly to the protection of press freedom, particularly for photojournalists in high-risk countries.
CollectieveKracht is the knowledge platform that helps citizen collectives overcome obstacles together. It is independent, free, and accessible to all citizen collectives. The platform was developed by scientists based on knowledge from collectives in all sectors, governments, and other stakeholders. Through the platform, they can communicate and ask questions across sectors, thereby meeting the growing demand for reliable information and the search for sustainable cooperation between all parties.
Bits of Freedom wants to give citizens and politicians more insight into both the issues surrounding AI and Internet platforms (including Facebook and Youtube) and possible solutions. The world of food needs to be better and fairer. There are very talented young people in the Netherlands with an idea and a dream to realize it. In the JUMP accelerator program, 10 of these people are given a boost so that they can realize their dream faster and better, from idea to intervention plan to realization. In a trajectory of 9 weeks and then another 90 days, JUMP helps to realize their dream.

Goeie Grutten previously supported their tomato project and is now focusing on scaling up the entire organization through multi-year follow-up funding so that they can bring their products to market.

In the annual pre-studio ‘talent first’ startup program of 3 months, entirely new impact-driven ventures are created and accelerated, focusing on a regenerative and circular food system.
Honeybees play an essential role in pollinating our food crops. The Varroa mite is the leading cause of high bee mortality and reduces the availability of bee colonies for pollination. The Arista Bee Research Foundation has shown that it is possible to breed resistant honeybees by selecting colonies that can remove Varroa themselves. In this project, a rapid test is being developed to enable the selection of resistant behavior through a simulation of Varroa infestation—without the use of the actual Varroa mite.
